The problem raised in this research is the process of transfer (ecranization) that occurs in the novels and films of Bumi Manusia and its implications in learning literature in schools. The transfer process is focused on the plot, setting, characters and characterizations. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with data sources in the form of the novel Bumi Manusia and the film Bumi Manusia. The results showed that there were three aspects of ecranization, namely reduction, addition, and various changes to the plot, setting, characters and characterizations. The results of this study can be used as learning materials in schools, especially learning appreciation of literature in high school in class XII even semester. Keywords: ride transfer, novel, film
