PENGARUH LAMA PERENDAMAN SKARIFIKASI KIMIA TERHADAP PERKECAMBAHAN BENIH LAMTORO (Leucaena leucocephala)
This research aims to find out the duration of immersion in the best chemical solution that can break physical dormancy and accelerate the germination of lamtoro seeds. This research was conducted in October to November 2021 at the Seed Technology Laboratory of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. This research used a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 types of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 18 experimental units, each experimental unit had 3 rolls per experimental unit so there were 54 rolls. Each replication contained 20 seeds. The treatments in this research were: P01 (Control); P02 (Soaked in hot water with an initial temperature of 80oC for 10 minutes); P1 (Soaked in 98% H2SO4 for 10 minutes); P2 (Soaked in 98% H2SO4 for 20 minutes); P3 (Soaked in 50% HCL for 10 minutes); P4 (Soaked in 50% for 20 minutes). The results showed that chemical scarification had a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment was found in the parameters of the vigor index, growing simultaneously and growing speed.
