EVALUASI PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa L.) VARIETAS SITU PATENGGANG, INPARA 8 DAN AKSESI F1 SERTA SILANG BALIK F1 DENGAN TETUANYA SITU PATENGGANG
The use of lebak swamp land as a medium in the development of rice production business with constraints on water management is not controlled in the rainy season so that the land is flooded otherwise the land will dry up in the dry season for a long period of time, Therefore, the aim of this study was to obtain rice tolerant of submerged and drought conditions. This study aims to evaluate the growth of rice plants of Situ Patenggang, Inpara 8 and accession F1 varieties as well as backcross accession F1 with Situ Patenggang varieties so as to obtain accession rice plants with good quality agronomic characters which are dual tolerant. This research was carried out in the Greenhouse of Agricultural Cultivation Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. This research was conducted from September 2021 to March 2022. his study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) method with 3 replications, 1 replication each consisting of 5 plants used to evaluate the growth of crop yields between varieties and accession. Crosses were carried out by backcrossing the two parents using 30 plants, namely 15 plants for F1 accession and 15 plants for the Situ Patenggang variety with different planting times. The data obtained from the observations and measurements were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and 5% Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) to evaluate differences between varieties and accessions. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the F1 accession had better agronomic characteristics than the parent varieties Situ Patenggang and Inpara 8 seen from the variables number of tillers per clump, number of panicles per clump, number of grain per panicle, number of grain per clump, grain weight. per panicle, weight of grain per clump, dry weight per clump, weight of 1000 grains, and age of harvest. The results of the cross showed that the number of seeds crossed was 507 grains and the percentage of crosses was 30% and the BC1F1 accession was classified as very long and slender rice based on the length and width of broken husked rice which tended to be different from the parents.
