Background: Meningitis is one of causes of morbidity and mortality in babies and children under 5 years old. The aim of this study is to know clinical features of meningitis patient hospitalized in RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, January 2011 - December 2012. Method: This was a descriptive study by using cross sectional design. Data was collected from medical records of meningitis patient hospitalized in installation of pediatric inpatient of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin, January 201-December 2012. Result: The distribution based on meningitis classification, there were 67% meningitis bacterial cases found, 24 % of viral meningitis cases, and the rest 9% were tuberculosis meningitis cases.
