Palembang-Prabumulih Km 32 Indralaya Ogan Ilir 30662 Abstract This study aims to (1) determine the characteristics of visitors to Kemaro Island tourism in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic in Palembang City. (2) Analyzing the factors that influence the number of visitors to Kemaro Island tourism in the era of the covid-19 pandemic in Palembang City. (3) Calculate the economic value of the Kemaro Island tourist area in the era of the covid-19 pandemic in Palembang City. This research is located on Kemaro Island, 1 Ilir, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City, South Sumatra. Data collection was carried out from May to completion. The data used are primary and secondary data. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling with a total of 30 respondents. The results showed that visitors to Kemaro Island tourist attractions are dominated by tourists aged 17-25 years, come from outside palembang city, have a high school education background, student status with the main purpose of recreation. Factors that significantly affect the number of visits to Kemaro Island tourist attractions are travel costs and mileage. The value of Kemaro Island tourist attractions during the Covid-19 period in 2022 was IDR 27,463,333,262. Keywords: demand, economic value, tourist characteristics
