The mortality caused by traffic accidents continuing increasing recently and it became one of the potential health problems along witb the increasing of development. Palembang, which has high rate of population is one of the main factor that caused increasing number of traffic accidents. The aim of this study is to identify the number of visum et repertum and description of the traffic accident victims at the Department of Forensic and Medicolegal RSMH 2010. The type of this research is descriptive observational study using secondary data. The samples were taken from Department of Forensic and Medicolegal RSMH 2010. The population and sample of this research are the entire traffic accident victim’s visum et repertum. The data’s are shown descriptively in form of table and pie chart. The results showed that of 103 victims died in traffic accidents, most of them are in the age of 15-25 years old (42.7%). 77,7% (80 persons) are male while 23 persons (23,3%) of them are female. The result of this study indicates a high number of traffic accidents happens among male in productive age. Thus, this requires a special attention in this group of people. Therefore, it is necessary giving the public knowledge about safe driving and how to prevent accidents.
