PRODUKSI GAS, KONSENTRASI METANA DAN KONSENTRASI METANA PER KBK RUMPUT GAJAH (PENNISETUM PURPUREUM) DENGAN IMBUHAN PAKAN ASAL FRASS BSF SECARA IN VITRO
Emissions of methane gas, especially from ruminants, are one of the greenhouse gases that have a negative impact on the environment. Methane gas is produced from the fermentation process of forage in the rumen. The purpose of this study was to study gas production, methane concentration and methane concentration on dry matter digestibility Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum) with feed additives from Frass BSF in vitro. This research was conducted from 2021 June to August at the Animal Nutrition and Feeding Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Jaken Agricultural Environmental Research Center (Balingtan), Central Java. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (Elephant Grass), P1 (Elephant Grass + 5% NPN Frass BSF) and P2 (Elephant Grass Silage + 5% NPN Frass BSF). The parameters observed were the concentration of gas production (mL), methane concentration (ppm) and methane concentration on dry matter digestibility (ppm/g BK) in vitro. The results showed that the gas production was significantly different (P
