PREVALENSI KISTADENOMA OVARII MUSINOSUM BERDASARKAN PEMERIKSAAN PATOLOGI ANATOMI DI BAGIAN PA RSUP DR. MOH. HOESIN PERIODE 2008-2012
Background: Mucinous cystadenoma of ovary are the most common cysts in the ovaries. These cysts often occur in women aged 20-50 years. These cysts vary in size but can exceed 30 cm, more often unilateral and multilocular. Therefore, this research was conducted to know the prevalence of mucinous cystadenoma of ovary based on anatomical pathology examination at Department of Anatomical Pathology RSUP Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang period 2008-2012. Method: This is an observational-descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The population was all ovarian tumor patients. The data was acquired from medical records at Department of Anatomical Pathology RSUP Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang period 2008-2012. Results: Out of 1.133 who had anatomical pathology examination, the re are 220 patients with mucinous cystadenoma of ovary. The prevalence of mucinous cystadenoma of ovary at Department of Anatomical Pathology RSUP Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang from 2008-2012 were 19,4%. During the observation period’ the highest prevalence of mucinous cystadenoma of ovary was in 2012 with 21,64%. The most group of women’s age with mucinous cystadenoma of ovary was 23-31 years or as much as 23,6%. The largest cyst found in this research was 30 cm x 25 cm x 17 cm. Based on laterality, this cyst was mostly unilateral (99,1%). As for the locularity, multilocular mucinous cystadenoma had the highest proportion (68,9%). Conclusion: In the period 2008 to 2012 the prevalence of mucinous cystadenoma 19.4%. During the observation period, mucinous cystadenoma of ovary were most common in women of reproductive age.
