ANALISIS USAHATANI JERUK LEMON (Citrus limon) DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK MINUMAN SARI LEMON TROPIS DI DESA MIDAR KECAMATAN GELUMBANG KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
The development of plantations in agriculture is increasingly rapid and advanced, one of which is a lemon (Citrus limon) plantation located in Midar Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. Midar Village is famous for its Lemon (Citrus limon) plantation and tropical lemon juice product. In order for the business process to run well, the right development strategy is needed to get maximum results and income so that the business is profitable. The aims of this study were: (1) to analyze the technical, ecological, social and cultural conditions of farmers in Midar Village, Gelumbang sub-district, (2) to calculate the income of lemon (Citrus limon) farmers and the income of Tropical Lemon Sari Farming in Midar Village, sub-district Gelumbang, (3) to formulate a lemon product development strategy in Midar Village, Gelumbang sub-district. This research was conducted in Midar Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency from March to April 2022. The method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling method used was a simple random method and the number of samples taken was as many as 34 respondent farmers to calculate the income of lemon farmers and 4 samples to calculate the SWOT matrix questionnaire interview. The results showed that (1) the technical condition of lemon citrus farming in Midar Village is feasible to run either for land conditions or lemon cultivation. The social condition of farmers inmidar village for the level of education is still relatively low, that is, many only graduate from elementary school. The average age of farmers in Midar Village is 49,5 years. And for the economic condition of farmers in Midar Village who work as lemon farmers (2) the average income earned by tropical lemon farmers in Midar Village during the 6-month harvest period was Rp20.880.396,-. For tropical lemon juice farming income for a period of 6 months the production period generates an income of Rp885.393.333,-, (3) The quantitative approach SWOT matrix shows lemon juice is in quadrant I, namely the SO (Strength-Opportunities) Strategy. The strategy formulation on the SWOT diagram produces alternative strategies that are in accordance with the company's circumstances, namely: making product innovations and adding processed products and increasing tropical lemon juice production to meet customer demands as well as improving and maintaining product quality with quality raw materials.
