PERAN ORANG TUA SEBAGAI MITRA GURU DALAM MENGOPTIMALKAN PEMBELAJARAN IPS BERBASIS KARAKTER PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 1 LAHAT PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
This study aims to describe the role of parents as teacher partners in optimizing character based social studies learning for classs VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Lahat during the pandemic Covid-19. The reseach is quantitative descriptive. The populations in this study were the parents of students of class VII at SMP Negeri 1 Lahat totaling 253 parents and the sample in this study was parents of students who are taken randomly from each class. The sampling technique used was the technique random sampling. Data collections technique used are questionaries, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique used is divided into two namely quantitative analysys used for questionnaires, qualytative data analysis technique for analyzing interview and observation. The result for each indicator are the role of parents as educators gets a percentage of 73% in the sufficient category, the role of parents as motivators gets a percentage of 82% in the good category, the role of parents as fasilitators gets a percentage of 86% in the good category, the role of parents as directors gets a percentage of 87% in the very good category. Based on the result of the study, it was found that the average the role of parents as teacher partners ini optimizing character based social studies learning for classs VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Lahat during the pandemic Covid-19 was 82% with the good category. Based on this reseach, it is suggested for parents to continue collaborating with teacher and schools so that they can optimize learning together.
