This study analyzes the contribution of gambier farming income to total family income and the welfare of gambier farmers in Toman Village, Babat Toman District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The objectives of this study are,to analyze the contribution of gambir farming income to family income in Toman Village, to analyze the ideal selling price of gambir sap in Toman Village, to find out how the level of welfare of gambir farming families in Toman Village. This research uses survey method. Carried out by conducting direct observations to the location and conducting interviews with a list of questions (questionnaires) to 11 respondent farmers. This research was conducted in January 2021. The results of this study are the contribution of gambir farming income to families income. Gambier farming contributes 59,18% to the families income. The ideal selling price of gambier in 2022 is higher than cost of Rp. 47,815/Kg. The selling price of gambier offered by middlemen to Toman gambier farmers is Rp. 57,273/Kg. The welfare level of gambier farmers in Toman Village, who are still actively processing gambier until now, is 54.55% prosperous farmers and 45.45% is not prousperous farmers. from the result of the study it is recommended to reactivate the KUD Ginde Sugih institution, for family members of farmers to look for additional work outside the gambir farming sector, for further researchers it’s recommended to analyze the factors causing the decline in the gambir farming population.
