PREVALENSI DAN KARAKTERISTIK PENDERITA NEOPLASIA KELENJAR SALIVARIUS DI BAGIAN PATOLOGI ANATOMI RSMH PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI 2010-DESEMBER 2012
Salivary gland neoplasm is an abnormal growth cell in salivary gland tissues which estimated has an icreasing number ofevents everyyear. This Study aimed to know prevalence and indentify characteristics ofpatients suffering salivary gland neoplasm. This research was an observational study with a sampelfrom an archive data form and result of pathologycal examination in Anatomycal Pathology Department RSMHPalembangfrom January 2010-Desember 2012. From Januari 2010-Desember 2012 found the amount of salviary gland neoplasm in patient is 110 peoples and there are 32.726 peoples who undergo pathologycal examination, 69 peoples are male (62,7%>) and 41 people are female (37,3%). The largest age group is aged >40 years old, there are 62 peoples (56,4%). The occupational groups are commonlyfoundfrom 36 samples listed are self-employed (7,3%) and housewife (6,4%). The most common neoplasm type is benign epithelial tumours in 76 patients (69,1%) and malignant epithelial tumours in 32 patients (29,1%). Pleomorphic adenoma (50,9%) and mucoepidermoid carcinoma (10%) are benign and malignant salivary gland neoplasm most commonlyfound. Prevalence ofpatients suffering salivary gland neoplasm from Januari 2010-Desember 2012 are 0,34%. The ratio between male and female is 1,7:1, the average age ofpatients is 45years old, which is oftenfound in the occupational of selfemployed. Benign epithelial tumours (pleomorphic adenoma) is the salivary gland neoplasm most commonlyfound.
