FAKTOR RISIKO DAN FAKTOR PENCETUS ASMA BRONKIAL PADA ANAK USIA 6-12 TAHUN DI SD NEGERI 114 DAN SD NEGERI 117 DI KECAMATAN SAKO PALEMBANG
Background: Bronchial asthma is often found among chiidren with prevalence 3,7%—16,4%. Bronchial asthma could be caused by various risk factors and precipitating factors, which include gender, age, family history of atopic condition, physiological changes, weather, physical activities, medicine, irritant, and allergen. This research aims to find the risk factors and precipitating factors of asthma and to find the relationship between the research variables. Method: The type of this research was a cross sectional descriptive study. The involved population in this research was the entire school chiidren of SDN 114 and SDN 117 (Public Primary School of 114 and Public Primary School of 117), which located in District of Sako, Palembang ffom Juny until December 2013. The data will collected by distributed questionnaires, which followed by conducting anamnesis to the parents of the bronchial asthmatic chiidren. Result: The number of bronchial asthma incident among chiidren in SDN 114 and SDN 117 was 5.6%. Frequency of distribution of the research produced the highest percentage of each variable, which included ten years old chiidren (27.3%), male chiidren (63,6%), atopic condition of rhinitis allergic (63.6%), atopic condition of dermatitis (43.6%), allergen (69%), irritant (70.9%), infection (27.3%), weather (18,2%). The risk factor and precipitating factor that affects bronchial asthma was family history of atopic condition, allergen, physical activities, irritant, weather, psychology, medicine, and infection history. The risk factors that gave no effect on bronchial asthma were gender and age. Conclusion: The highest risk factors on the incident of bronchial asthma were gender and family of atopic condition. In the research, the highest precipitating factors on the incident of asthma were age, allergen, physical activities, an irritant (pollutant). The irritant factors have the most impact for bronchial asthma.
