KEBERHASILAN INSEMINASI BUATAN MENGGUNAKAN SEMEN BEKU SPERMATOZOA X DAN Y HASIL SEXING DENGAN MEDIA BOVINE SERUM ALBUMIN PADA SAPI SIMMENTAL
This study aims to determine the success rate of artificial insemination using frozen semen of spermatozoa X and Y resulting from sexing with bovine serum albumin media in simmental cows. This research was conducted from October 2021 to January 2022 at the Sembawa Breeding Center Forage Animal Feed (BPHPT), and at the People's Farm, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. This research was conducted using an experimental method wi th 3 treatments and 5 replications. (P0) = Straw nonsexing, (P1) = Straw sexing spermatozoa X, (P2) = Straw sexing spermatozoa Y. The results showed that the NRR value at (P0) was better when compared to (P1) and (P2), which was equal to (P0) = 80%, (P1) = 60% and (P2) = 40%. CR value of (P0) = 80%, (P1) = 60%, (P2) = 40% and S/C value of (P0) = 1.25 (P1) = 1.6 (P2) = 2. Quality NRR, CR and S/C values in nonsexing spermatozoa are better than sexing spermatozoa, this is because nonsexing spermatozoa are i ncluded in the good motility category, which is between 70% 80%. The low spermatozoa resulting from sexing were due to a lot of damage so that the motility of the spermatozoa was low, this was because at the time of the centrifugation process the spermat ozoa were separated, but it was also caused by the spermatozoa being in a medium containing BSA for more than four hours, exposure of the spermatozoa to a medium containing BSA. BSA for more than four hours can cause capacitation and premature acrosome rea ctions
