KARAKTERISTIK SOSIODEMOGRAFI DAN HISTOPATOLOGI PENDERITA KOLESISTITIS DIBAGIAN PATOLOGI ANATOMI RSMH PALEMBANG TAHUN 2010-2012
Introduction: Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder due to cystic duet obstruetion due to cholelithiasis. Prevalence of cholecystitis in Indonesia is relatively lower compared to westem countries. Cholecystitis cases are found about 10% in the population, about 90% of cases associated with gallstones, while the remaining 10% not cholecystitis. Delay diagnosis of acute cholecystitis will increase prevalence of morbidity and mortality. Method: This research was an observational study with a sampel from an archive data form and result of pathologycal examination at Pathology Anatomy Departement in RSMH Palembang 2010-2012. Results: The prevalence of cholecystitis in 2010 is 0,63%, in 2011 is 0,62%, and in 2012 is 0,5%. Sociodemographic characteristics of cholecystitis patients is male (51,6%), the largest age group is middle age 45-64 years (50,5%), histopathology of patients with chronic cholecystitis are the highest (74,6%). Conclusion: The prevalence of cholecystitis has decreased from 2010-2012 the most age in middle age and age sex is more common in male. Histopathology characteristic of cholecystitis showed that type of chronic cholecystitis is most often found.
