This study aims to determine the feasibility of PLA (Polylactic Acid) as a pico-scale Turgo turbine blade material using SOLIDWORKS simulation based on mechanical strength results. This study uses two methods: an analytical method to determine the geometry of the Turgo Pico scale turbine blade, and a simulation method is used to predict its mechanical strength. From the analytical results, the Turgo Piko scale turbine blades have 18 blades with a flow rate of 10 kg/s (100 Newtons). From the simulation results, the mechanical strength of PLA as a pico-scale turgo turbine blade material using Solidworks is recommended for use. This is because the value of the Von mises stress of the blade material does not exceed the maximum value of the PLA yield strength, which is 53 MPa. This means that the PLA material to be the base material for the pico-scale turgo turbine blades is safe and robust so that it can be used as a Turgo turbine blade material.
