The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of allelopathic substances derived from leaves and bark acacia on the growth and yield of corn. This research was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The study was arrangerd in randomized block design (RBD) consisted of 5 treatments and 3 blocks. The treatments were P0 = control (without extract), P1 = (2 g leaf extract + 2 g bark extract), P2 = (4 g leaf extract + 4 g bark extract), P3 = (6 g leaf extract + 6 g bark extract), P4 = (8 g leaf extract + 8 g bark extract). The results showed that the leaves and bark allelopat of acacia extract in treatments P4 (8 g leaf extract + 8 g bark extract) had a high dose among other treatments was able to suppress growth and yield of corn and can potentially decrease the yield of dry corn kernel production by 26.43%. Key words: leaves and bark, acacia, allelopat, corn.
