Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) can convert solar energy into electrical energy using dyes which have an important role in DSSC performance. The dye used in this research is chlorophyll from lotus leaf extract and anthocyanin from lotus flower extract using maceration method and aquades solvent, then drying using Foam Mat Drying method at 40⁰ for 24 hours to produce powdered dye for lotus leaves and flowers so that dye can be stored for a longer time with good quality. Dye powder leaves and lotus flowers were then made with variations in concentration, namely 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% to determine the effect of dye with different levels on the performance of DSSC. The purpose of this study was to determine and study the effect of the natural dye concentration of the lotus plant (Nymphaea pubescens.L) on the performance of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). This research was conducted from October 2021 to February 2022, in the Biosystems laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research consists of three stages, namely: preparation and assembly of DSSC, testing and processing of DSSC data. Parameters observed were total chlorophyll content with absorbance data at 649 nm and 665 nm, and atocyanin with absorbance data at 510 nm and 700 nm, current and voltage, power, charging factor and DSSC efficiency. The experimental results showed that the lotus leaf dye extract on DSSC DT3 with a concentration of 6% was the best performance with a value of Voc: 0,428 V, Isc: 0.0077 mA, Vmax: 0,346 V, Imax: 0.0054 mA, Pmax: 0,001868 mW , FF: 0,56694, and efficiency of 0,0063% and lotus flower dye extract on DSSC BT4 with a concentration of 8% is the best performance with the value of Voc: 0,586 V, Isc: 0.0072 mA, Vmax: 0,528 V, Imax: 0.0053 mA, Pmax: 0,002798 mW, FF: 0,66325 and an efficiency of 0,0092%.
