This study aimed to determine the role of the user of machine tools and using machine tools in the income of rice farming in the Tanjung Lago district. This research was conducted from January 2022 to Maret 2022, by using the descriptive tabulation method. The parameters were the availability of agricultural tools and machinery, the calculation of the need for agricultural tools and machinery, the comparison of the use of agricultural machinery and conventional machinery, and the efficiency of rice farmers' business. Based on the results of the research, showed that the availability of four-wheel tractors in the Tanjung Lago district was still not sufficient. As for the two-wheel tractor and combined harvesters the availability of the tools was sufficient. The average income of farming using agricultural machinery was Rp 14,090,000 /ha per planting season and it did not need to use the machinery Rp 4,407,000. The income efficiency of rice farming using machine tools was 2.91 and for those who did not use machine tools 1.47. The results showed that the use of agricultural machinery could increase the income of rice farmers in the Tanjung Lago district compared to the income of rice farmers without agricultural machinery.
