UJI KINERJA KECEPATAN PUTARAN DENGAN VARIASI JUMLAH MATA PISAU TIPE CHOPPER KNIFE PADA MESIN PERAJANG PAKAN TERNAK
The reasearch objective was to know the performance of the chopper knife blade rotation speed with several variations in the number of blades on animal feed chopper machines. This research was conducted from November 2021 to January 2022 at the Laboratory of Water Resources and Agricultural Technology Machinery, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is RAKF (Factorial Randomized Design) with two research factors, namely factor A (type of forage) and factor B (variation in number of blades of chopper knife type). Each treatment has 3 levels, namely factor A (elephant grass, corn, and bengal grass) and factor B (chopper chopper knife 2, chopper chopper knife 3, and chopper knife 4) and each treatment was repeated 3 times. The parameters of this research are the effective working capacity of the engine, the yield of the counter and the need for fuel. The results showed that the A2B2 treatment (maize plants and chopper knife 3) had the highest value on the effective working capacity of the machine, the yield of the chopping material, and the fuel requirement with values of 145.76 kg/hour, 93.78%, and 0.760 liters/hour. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the rotational speed of the blade has a significant effect on all parameters.
