This study aims to determine the effect of the use of production factors on maize production and analyze whether the use of production factors has been efficient. The sampling method used was simple random sampling and the data were processed using the Cobb-Douglas production function. The results showed that the use of labor, urea fertilizer, SP36 fertilizer and insecticides had no significant effect on maize production. Meanwhile, land area, NPK fertilizer, seeds, and herbicides have a significant effect on maize production in Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. The efficiency level of the use of land, urea fertilizer and insecticides were not efficient and should be reduced to reach an efficient level. Meanwhile, the use of labor, seeds, SP36 fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and herbicides were not yet efficient and should be increased to achieve an efficient level.
