ANGKA KEJADIAN DAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR PRESIPITASI SERANGAN MIGREN PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA.
Background and Objective. Migraine is one of the disease that suffered in the world wide. According to the statistics, women three times more often get migraine then men. The typical migraine headache is unilateral, and pulsating accompanied by nausea, vomiting, photofobia, and phonophobia. Migraine commonly suffered at the age 13-25 years old which is can reduce the productivity and activities of the person.Objectives of this study to find the incidence and precipitation factors of migraine. Methode. This study was descriptive with cross sectional design. The population of this study were non-reguler class (2008-2011) of medical faculty students of Sriwijaya University. Amounted to 89 the research sample after the migraine screening. After that a few questions have been asked directly to the sample. The variables that studied were consumption of cheese, chocolates, coffee, menstruation factors, sleeping hours less then three hours, sleeping hours more then ten hours, physical environment ( hot tempreture, cold tempreture,lighting), stress. Result. The incidence of migraine for student of faculty of mrdicine in UNSRI is 0,20%. The migraine incidence for 2008 batch is 43 students ( 0,10%), 12 students (0,03%) in 2009 batch, 11 students ( 0,02%) in 2010 batch, and 23 students (0,05%) in 2011 batch. None (0%) of menstruation factor and cheese consumption shows as precipitation factors in migraine. Otherwise, precipitation factor for migraine in this study are, chocolate consumption shows 2 students (2,2%), coffee consumption shows 18 students (20,2%), stress factor shows 63 students (70,8%), hot weather shows 56 students (62,9%), cold weather shows 14 students (15,7%), flashes light shows 39 students (43,8%), glare light shows 42 students (47,2%), sleeping hours 10 hour shows 40 students (44,9%). Conclusion. Precipitation factors for migrain of medical students of Sriwijaya University are chocolate, coffee, weather, lights, and sleeping hours. Cheese consumption and menstruation factor is not as the precipitation factors for migraine in this study.
