PEMANFAATAN TUMBUHAN OBAT SUKU GUMAY DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Descriptive research aims to find out the variety of plants, parts used, methods of use and the value of the Index of Cultural Significance (ICS) of medicinal plants used by the Gumay Tribe. This research was conducted from September to June 2022. The research method is a descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, semi-structural interviews and documentation. The results of the research get the plants used in traditional medicine were found to be 50 types of plants belonging to 32 families. The plants parts used are leaves as many as 26 type of plants (44%), rhizomes as many as 6 type of plants (10%), fruit as many as 6 type of plants (10%), roots as many as 5 type of plants (9%), flowers as many as 5 type of plants (9%), fruit skins as many as 3 type of plants (5%), tubers as many as 3 type of plants (5%), stems as many as 2 type of plants (3%), all parts of the plant as many as 2 type of plants (3%), shoots as many as 1 type of plants (2%). The herb used as many 69 types of herbs is useful to treat 37 kinds of diseases. Their way of processing plants is drinking after boiling, drinking without boiling, smearing, burning and bathing. The results of the Index of Cultural Significance (ICS) calculation with a very high category based on quality, intensity and exclusivity according to the Gumay Tribe community is Curcuma longa with an value of 116. Research result can be contributed to the learning of high school biology class X with competence Basic 3.7 Applying the principle of classification to classify plants into divisions based on observations of plant morphology and metagenesis and linking their role in the survival of life on earth. Contribute are given in the form of a booklet with the results of the calculation of Content Validity Ratio (CVR) is 16 and Content Validity Index (CVI) is 0.80 being in the valid category.
