RASIONALITAS PENGGUNAAN ANTIDIABETIKA ORAL (ADO) PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 RAWAT INAP DI RUMAH SAKIT PUSRI PALEMBANG PERIODE JULI 2010-JUNI 2011
Background: Diabetes Mellitus type 2 is an uncontagious chronic disease which has many complications and the prevalence rises every year. In RS Pusri Palembang, diabetes mel/itus (DM) has a high incidence rate. It is characterized by the discovery of DM patients hospitalized in 2010 as many as 850. Therefore, Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) therapy given to DM type 2 patients should be indicated properly and rationally. This study is aimed to know the rationality of Oral AntidiabetiC (ADO) uses to DM type 2 patients who were hospitalized In RS. Pusri Palembang from July 2010 until June 2011. Method: This study uses the method of descriptive study, the form of using drugs study on November until December 2011 in RS. Pusri Palembang. The population and study sample was taken from the medical records of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who use inpatient Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) from July 2010 to June 2011 as many (1S 60 people. Result: There are 42 female patients (70%) and 18 male patients (30%). The most patients are 51-60 years old (45%). Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) uses which not combine is 45% and combine with other drugs is 27%. Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) uses with paten drugs is 63,I 6% and with generic drugs is 36,84%. Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) uses such as Sulfonilurea is 41,05%, Alfa-glukosidae inhibitor is 26,32%, Biguanide is 24,21% and Glitazon is 8,42%. Interaction of Oral Antidiabetic (ADO), al most polentiation fs 60,1%, addition is 91,7%, antagonistic is 13,7%, and unknown interaction is 6,5%. Adverse effects occur in 11.67% of the sample. Precise dose and frequency are find on 76.84% samples. There is contraindication, such as cardiovascular disease (myocardial infarction) on three samples and chronic renal failure on rme samp! . Fallow up can not as essed because palie11ts do not come back after 14 days of treatment. Only 16.67% usage Oral Antidiabetic (ADO) is effective,with fasting blood glucose (FBG) at hospital discharge
