UJI KINERJA KECEPATAN PUTARAN PISAU PERAJANG TIPE BLADE DAN TIPE CHOPPER KNIFE PADA MESIN PERAJANG UNTUK PAKAN BEBEK
This study aims to study the performance of the rotation speed of the blade type chopper and knife type chopper on a water hyacinth chopping machine for duck feed. This research was carried out from October 2021 to March 2022 at the water resources and machinery laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two research factors, types of blades (A) and variations in the number of blades (B) with three treatment levels and each treatment combination was repeated three times. The parameters of this research are the effective capacity of the engine, the yield of the count, and the fuel consumption. The results of this study indicate that the highest effective machine capacity value is found in the A2B1 treatment combination, which is 73.26 kg/hour with the type of chopper knife blade and the variation in the number of blades 2. The greatest value for the census yield was found in the treatment combination on A2B1 which was 94.67% with a chopper knife type blades and a variation of the number of blades 2. The greatest value of fuel consumption is found in the combination of treatment A2B1 on the type of chopper knife blade and the variation in the number of blades 2 is 0.454 liters/hour.
