EVALUASI PERTUMBUHAN DAN DAYA HASIL JAGUNG ( Zea mays L.) BERSARI BEBAS AKSESI UNSRI-J1 SAMPAI UNSRI-J8

This research aimed to evaluate the growth and production of several pollen-free accession unsri and to evaluate the effectiveness of the selection of cob length and shell weight. This research was conducted in collaboration with farmers in the Tanjung Putus experimental land, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from March to July 2020. The experimental design uses a T-test for data analysis by taking 45 plant samples in each accession by follow the initial pattern, the middle and the ends of the crop rows. Accessions used in this research included Unsri-J1-J8 free pollinated corn. The result showed that Unsri-J1 accession had the best growth and yield with a predicted production potential of 10,15 tons/ha. In this result, there were 4 accessions selected for further research, namely accessions Unsri-J1, Unsri-J2, Unsri-J3, Unsri-J4 with an average production potential prediction of 8.98 tons/ha.
