KONSENTRASI NAMMONIA, ASAM LEMAK RANTAI PENDEK, DAN RASIO AP RUMPUT GAJAH Purpureum) (Pennisetum DENGAN IMBUHAN PAKAN FRASS BSF SECARA IN VITRO
Increased protein in the ration can increase the digestibility of crude fiber in the rumen. In this study, rice straw was added with BSF frass to test its digestibility. Frass BSF is known to have a fairly good protein content. This study aims to determine the concentration of n-ammonia, short chain fatty acids, and the ratio of AP with the addition of NPN frass BSF in vitro. This research was conducted in July-August 2021 at the Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical analysis method Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications. P0 (elephant grass), P1(elephant grass + 5% NPN Frass BSF), P2 (Elephant grass silage + 5% NPN Frass BSF). The variables observed in this study were the value of N-ammonia concentration, short chain fat analysis and AP ratio. The results of this study showed that the concentrations of N-Ammonia and Total SCFA were significantly different (P>0.05) and the concentration of N-Ammonia could decrease the A:P ratio. The best treatment was in treatment P2, at P2 it produced a higher total SCFA and N-Ammonia concentration and an A:P ratio that was lower than P0.
