UJI KINERJA MESIN PENGIRIS DENGAN SUMBER ENERGI LISTRIK DC UNTUK BAHAN BAKU SINGKONG (Manihot esculenta Crantz)
This study aims to determine the performance of a slicing machine that uses a current (DC) electric energy source. The research method used is descriptive method with speed test treatment on the cutting machine. The treatments used consisted of speeds of 820 rpm, 800 rpm and 780 rpm. Each treatment was repeated three times on DC electric current and AC electric current. The results of the study obtained that the output data on DC and AC electric currents were respectively 481,5 grams and 484,5 grams. This is influenced by the slicing process and the electric current used. The speed and electric current used also affect the voltage, electric power, slicing time and energy requirements. Based on the result of the study, it shows that AC current has a smaller average electric current, voltage, power and energy requiremets compared to DC electric current, but this causes the slicing time to be slower and yield are less than DC electric current. The highest yield is in AC elecctric current at 820 rpm at 97,55% and the lowest is in AC electric current at 780 rpm at 95,54%. The highest damaged material is found in DC electric current at 780 rpm of 26,89% and the lowest is found in AC electric current at 820 rpm of 20,23%. The material left behind in the tool is the highest in the DC electric current at 780 rpm at 1,95% and the lowest in the DC electric current at 820 rpm at 0,87%.
