Rice is the staple food for most of the Indonesian population. As the population grows, it will have an impact on the increasing public demand for rice. However, the lack of fertile land in agriculture has caused the government to design programs to increase rice productivity, one of which is the use of lowland land. Kotadaro II Village is one of the villages that is still relatively low in rice productivity. This study aims to (1) calculate the productivity of rice farming in the middle and deep lowland swamps in Kotadaro II Village, (2) analyze the differences in the incomes of rice farmers in the middle swampland and in the deep swamp rice farmers in Kotadaro II Village (3) analyzed the prospects for the development of rice farming in the middle and deep lowland swamps of Kotadaro II Village. Data collection was carried out in March-April 2022. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The method used in this research is a survey method. The sampling method used was an unbalanced layered random method with 64 respondents consisting of rice farmers in Lebak Tengahan and rice farmers in Lebak Dalam. To find out the prospects for developing rice farming in the Lebak swamp land, a SWOT analysis can be used. The results showed that (1) land productivity in deep swamp rice farming was higher than in middle swamp (2) the average income for deep swamp rice farming was higher than Middle swamp Rice, (3) swamp rice farming in Kotadaro Village. II, both the middle and deep pits are already in quadrant I of the SWOT matrix and the strategy used is the SO strategy.
