Literature is closely related to the human environment, one of which is the folklore of Musi Rawas, South Sumatra Province, whose background is dominant with nature. The purpose of this study is to describe ecology, whether there is balance and inbalance in the Musi Rawas folklore and its support for learning Indonesian. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is a quote from the Musi Rawas folklore. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview and documentation. The results of this study stated that the benefits of using nature as treatment, necessities of life, cleanliness, nature and human conservation on flora and fauna were found. As well as the balance between humans and nature, namely the Placement of Forests and Disposal of Garbage in the Musi Rawas River, South Sumatra Province. The results of this study can be implicated in learning Indonesian in class X SMA in odd semesters, especially KD 3.7 Identifying values and content contained in folklore (hikayat) both written and written and KD 3.8 comparing values and language of folklore and short story.
