PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBING PROMPTING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI SISWA KELAS VIII MTS AL-ITTIFAQIAH INDRALAYA OGAN ILIR
This study aims to determine the effect of the Probing Prompting learning model on the ability to write expository texts in class VIII Mts. Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class VIII 4 totaling 24 students as the experimental class, receiving treatment using the Probing Prompting learning model and class VIII 5 totaling 38 students as the control class receiving treatment using conventional methods. Data collection using test techniques and data processing using t-test calculations with the SPSS 22 program. The results showed that there were differences in test results between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class got an average score of 52.21 for the initial test and 49.95 for the control class. Meanwhile, the average final test score for the experimental class was 84.21 and the control class was 75.89. The results of calculations using the t-test show the t-count > t-table = 3.114 > 2,000 with df = 60 at a 95% success rate (α = 0.025), meaning that there is a significant difference between the two sample groups, the success achieved by the experimental class is more significantly compared to the control class.
