The purpose of this study is to (1) determine the flood hazard situation in the rice fields of Soak Batok village, North Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) measure farmers' perceptions of flood disaster conditions in rice fields in Soak Batok Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) develop strategies that farmers can take to deal with the flooding of paddy fields in Soak Batok Village, North Indraya District, Ogan Illir Regency. The study was conducted in Soak Batok Village, North Indraya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This location determination was carried out intentionally (purposive sampling). Data collection was carried out in December 2021 until it was completed. The method that will be used in this research is the survey method. The number of samples collected was 30 farmers out of 385 farmers from 15 farmer groups in Soak Batok village, North Indraya district. The sample was determined using the Rule of the thumb method or also called the arbitrary approach, which is a method of determining sample size by referring to the rule of thumb based on the practical opinion of experts. The results showed that (1) the height of the flood inundation on paddy fields in Soak Batok Village reached 1 meter which resulted in the decay of rice stalks, the slow receding of the water for 3 months which caused agricultural production to be disrupted, the duration of the flood inundation was 1 month which resulted in the delay of the harvest period, period of inundation 1 time in 5 years which causes access to agricultural roads to be cut off, (2) farmers' perceptions of flood disaster conditions get a score of 36.16 with the location of the "High" category which means that farmers' perceptions of flood disaster conditions are good, (3) strategy Efforts that can be made by farmers in dealing with flooding in paddy fields in Soak Batok Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, its position is in quadrant III of the conservative strategy, Providing counseling to farmers about the impact of conversion of agricultural land so as to minimize the decline in food production, taking flood disaster mitigation actions that is by elevating the bed ith, deepening drainage, and dredging rivers to minimize loss of rice production so that farmers' income can be maximized, optimizing extension workers to encourage and develop farmer skills.
