impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia finally also affects the economic life of the people in Palembang City. Many businesses closed and laid off. As a result, the economy of household sector also experienced stagnation and even a sharp decline in household income due to the occurrences of Termination of Employment. The aims of this study are to: 1) describe and analyze the changes in household food consumption in Palembang city before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, 2) analyze the changes in household income in Palembang city before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 3) analyze the effect of the changes in income on the household food consumption in Palembang city before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this study was a consumer survey method. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling with some criteria of respondents set, as follow: a) Respondents who are domiciled in Palembang city, b) Respondents, both men and women, who are married and have income, and c) Respondents who experience a decrease in income due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The total number of samples taken was 60 samples. The data obtained consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicated that: 1) household food consumption before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, 2) the household income of the people in palembang city community was lower during the Covid-19 pandemic. Where the income before the Covid-19 pandemic was more dominant at >3,500.000 which was 5166 percent, but during the Covid-19 pandemic it was more dominant at
