PREVALENSI HIPERPLASIA ENDOMETRIUM BERDASARKAN JENIS HISTOPATOLOGI DAN KELOMPOK USIA DI BAGIAN PATOLOGI ANATOMI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PADA TAHUN 2008-2012
Introduction: One cause of endometrial cancer is endometrial hyperplasia. According to WHO data, in 1985-2003 the incidence of endometrial hyperplasia was 133 per 100,000 women per year. There are 4 types of hyperplasia that is, simple, complex, simple atypical and complex atypical. This study aims to determine the prevalence of endometrial hyperplasia based on histopathological types and age groups in Anatomical Pathology Laboratory of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang 2008-2012. Methods: This study is an observational study using a descriptive cross-sectional design. During the years 2008-2012 there were 28.331 patients who underwent histopathological examination of tissue in the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. This study took 275 cases that met the study^criteria. Results: The prevalence of endometrial hyperplasia is 0.97%. Simple type that is 197 cases (71.6%), simple atypical type 39 cases (14.2%), complex types 24 cases (8.7%), and complex atypical type there were 15 cases (5.5%). Most common in the age group 40-55 years. Conclusion: The prevalence of endometrial hyperplasia is 0.97%. Most common type of endometrial hyperplasia is simple, that is occurred at age 40-55 years.
