INDIKASI PERSALINAN PADA PRESENTASI BOKONG DI DEPARTEMEN OBSTETRI DAN GINEKOLOGI RSUP Dr. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Breech presentation is the highest number of malpresentation compared to other presentations. Despite the selection criteria for breech delivery has been settled, delivery management for breech presentation is still controversial. The purpose of this research is to determine an overview of indications in breech delivery at Obstetric and Gynaecology Department of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang. Method: Methods of the study is descriptive observational research with crosssectional approach. Sample of this research was all women with breech presentation at Obstetric and Gynaecology Department of Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang from January 2011 until December 2012. Result: Number of breech delivery was 7,7% from total deliveries. The maternal characteristics in this research based on maternal age was 20-35 years old (85%), gestational age was aterm (83,2%), and primipara (76,4%). Type of delivery based on gestational age was per vaginam for aterm (62,8%) and per abdominam for postterm (62,5%) The most common method of delivery in this research was caesarean section (38,2%) with oligohydramnion as the most common indication (9%). Conclusion: The most common indications for all deliveries with breech presentation are malpresentation (36,9%) for per vaginam and oligohydramnion for per abdominam (9%).
