INDIKASI SEKSIO SESAREA DARURAT DI BAGIAN OBSTETRI DAN GINEKOLOGI RUMAH SAKIT Dr. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2012
Background: In line by caesarean section rate uprising, maternal mortality rate wiII also increase. Emergency cesarean section has the highest maternal mortality rate compared to elective cesarean section and vaginal delivery. Objective: To identify the indications of emergency caesarean section in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang in 2012. Method: Observational descriptive study with cross-sectional approach was carried out in this research by collecting data from 525 emergency cesarean section patients. Recording and registration were made out of hospitalised emergency cesarean section patients status, complications of post emergency caesarean section during treatment, maternal mortality post emergency caesarean section, emergency cesarean section indications on fetal factors, emergency cesarean section indications on maternal factors. The results were described in narrations and presented in table and graphic forms. Results: Ouf the 525 samples obtained, inpatient status of emergency caesarean section was referral status with 53,5%. Most of post operation complication was wour.d infections with 6,9%. Maternal mortality of emergency caesarean section in Palembang was 1,3%. Abnormality of fetal position had the highest incidence of emergency cesarean section indications on fetal factors at 22,3% and prolonged labor had the highest incidence of emergency cesarean section indications on maternal factors at 25,9%. Conclusion: Referral status was the most dominant status in inpatients emergency caesarean section. The most common complication of post emergency caesarean section during treatment was wound infection. Maternal mortality of emergency caesarean section in palembang was considered low. Abnormality of fetal position was the most frequent indication emergency caesarean section on fetal factors. Prolonged labor had the highest incidence of emergency cesarean section indications on maternal factors
