Background: Menarche is the first menstruation is one of phase at puberty. Which was commonly occured at the age 11 to 14 years old. One of the factors that influence the menarche is socioeconomic factors. Methods: The aim of this researche is to know the age of menarche description on Palembang’s female teenagers who were influenced by social economy factor. The type of this researche is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The researche time was done on October to November 2013. The amount of the population is the whole of fifth and sixth grade of primary school and sevent, eighth grade of junior high school at Palembang city. The amount of sample are were taken with Proportional Random Sampling method. Results: Based on the research fforn 230 sampels, there were 63% respondents have got menarche, 69,8% respondent were got menarche at the age >12 years old, 85,7% were got menarche with normal IMT, 77,2% have got menarche with the high parent’s education, 84,8% have got menarche with the high parent’s income, There have been many factors that have the importance influence to menarche that is normal IMT (p = 0,014), the hight parent’s education (p = 0,031) and the hight parent’s income (p=0,000). Conclusion: There are meaningful influence between social economy factor and menarche which is in this research social economy indicator is IMT, parent’s education, and parent’s income. The higher of socioeconomic status, menarche more faster.
