Introduction: Dyspepsia is a pain or discomfort that comes from the upper abdominal area. The prevalence of dyspepsia in the world is around 7% to 60%. Approximately 25% of the total population suffers from dyspepsia 6 times a year, but only 10-20% goes to the doctor. Nowadays, dyspepsia has become the center of attention in clinical research compared to other gastrointestinal disorders. The aim of this study is to determine the clinical characteristics of patients who suffers dyspepsia. Method: This study is an observational descriptive study of 201 dyspepsia patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang. The data were taken from the dyspepsia patients in the Inpatient Medical Records Installation and Action and Diagnostic Room of Gastroentero-Hepatology Department of Internal Medicine Hospital Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period January lst 2012-December 31st 2012.
