Introduction: Ectopic pregnancy, pregnancy which is a fertilized ovum implants outside the endometrial cavity, is an emergency situation in the early pregnancy that continues to be a major cause of mortality in reproductive age women. Early detection based on Identification of the risk factors of ectopic pregnancy is needed. The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between history of previous ectopic pregnancy, history of infertile, history of using progesterone only contraception and ectopic pregnancy. Method: This research with cross sectional design was conducted in November 2013-December 2013 at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Population of this research were women with gestational age less than twenty weeks. Samples were ectopic pregnancy and abortion patients. Result: The prevalence of ectopic pregnancy during 2011 is 1,16% and 2012 is 2,1%. Based on research from 80 subjects, 83.8% in group of 20-35 years. 82,5% with a high school education and higher education, 36.2% have history of primiparity, and 93,8% diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy in first trimester. Chi-Sguare test shows there was a significant relationship between history of nfertility and ectopic pregnancy (p=0,003 and OR=5,923) but there was no significant relationship among history of the used progesterone contraception and ectopic pregnancy (p=0,114). Fisher test shows there was no a significant relationship among history of previous ectopic pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy (p=0,620). Conclusion: There is a very significant relationship between the history of infertility and ectopic pregnancy (p=0,003 and OR=5,923).
