TINGKAT KECEMASAN MAHASISWA SEMESTER VII FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA 2013
Background: Anxiety is a feeling of uncomfort, which usually occur because of an unpleasant feeling of someone in growth, changes, new experiences, and self identification. Anxiety frequently occurs in teenagers especially students. Anxiety in students can influence the end study result by decreasing the ability to focus and remember as well to disturbing the ability to connect one thing to another. This study was aimed to know the anxiety level of 7^ semester students of Medical Faculty at Sriwijaya University batch 2013. Method: The method used was a descriptive research with a cross sectional study. The data were collected by using Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questioner. The population were all the students in the 7^ semester of Medical Faculty Sriwijaya University who met the inclusion criterias. Results: There were 54 students who did not experience anxiety, 52 students with mild anxiety, 52 students with severe anxiety, and 3 students with very severe anxiety. Conclusion: Anxiety occured more than half of the students (78%) and majority of them were severe anxiety (34.3%).
