Background: Glaucoma is a disfunction of the eye, when the Intraocular Pressure is increased it can damage the optic disc and decrease visual field. The aim of this research is to know the demographical characteristics, clinical characteristics and dijferent kind of therapies of primary angle closure glaucoma patients at the Departement of Opthalmology RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from June 2011-June 2013. Method: The method used was a descriptive observational research with cross sectional study. Population and sample were all the patients with primary angle closure glaucoma at the Departement of Opthalmology RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from June 2011-June 2013. Result: There were 15 patients with primary angle closure glaucoma. Majority of patients were in the age group of 55-64 years old (46.7%), 66.7% were female and patients who suffered from eye tenderness (29.5%) and there were 6 patients (40.0%) diagnosed with blindness. The most frequent intraocular pressure above the normal field were 15.6-23.61 and 39.64-47.64 mmHg (26.7%). There were 8 patients who was not sujfering from corneal oedema (53.3%) and 7 others with corneal edema (46.7%). The majority of the patients with shallow camera oculy anterior 86.7% and iris is in normal condition at 86.7%>. There were 8 patients with good reflex of light (53.3%) and 7 other patients with slow reflex of light (46.7%). The majority of the patients that were found with chalky lenses was (80.0%). The ratio range of all the c/d patients were the same (26.7%,). Most patients outside the normal limits overview were usingperimetry (73.3%) with the most frequent and the majority type of trealment done was trabeculetomv (93.3%). Conclusions: The majority of primary angle closure glucoma patients were aged between 55-64 years old, female, felt tenderness, suffered fromblindness, intraocular pressure above normal, corneal edema, shallow camera oculy anterior, iris in good condition, good light reflex, chalky lenses, outside normal limits using perimetry, and trabeculetomy therapy.
