Introduction: Osteoporosis is chronic disecises with decreased bone density, microcircitecture bone, and decreased cpiality bone cell that can cause fragility and increase bone fracture. The purposes of study is to fmd out incidence of osteoporosis based on risk factor who examined by BMD at the Reumatology Clinic of General Hospita! Center Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This research is a descriptive observationa! study with seconda/y survey to a/l of patients who examined their BMD at the Reumatology Clinic of General Hospital Center Mohammad Hoesin Palembang based on age, gender and BMI. Result: The final resul/s of this study showed the incidence of osteoporosis at 64,39%. The incidence of osteoporosis was more prevalent in the age group 61-65 years (19,58%). Osteoporosis occured more frequently i n females (78,35%) than mal es (21,65%). Osteoporosis was more frecjuent i n the gioup of underweight (69,44%). Conclusion: The incidence of osteoporosis was quite high. More females than males suffered osteoporosis. The incidence of osteoporosis was higher in the age group of 61-65 years than the higher age group. According to BMI score, osteoporosis more frequent in underweight group.
