KARAKTERISTIK BIOBRIKET TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT (TKKS) DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI ASAM SULFAT DAN BERAT KULIT PISANG KEPOK
This study determined the effect of sulfuric acid concentration and kepok banana peel on the characteristics of biobriquettes according to SNI 01-6235-2000 and with varying concentrations of sulfuric acid 1, 1.5 and 2N and kepok banana peel 2, 3 and 4 grams. The measured parameters consist of levels; water, ash, volatile matter, carbon and calorific value. Determination of calorific value using Bomb Calorimeter, data analyzed with one way anova or one-way anova. The results showed that the best calorific value resulted from the low weight of the banana peel mixed and the high concentration of sulfuric acid added, the best variation was produced from 2N sulfuric acid and 2 grams of kepok banana peel used, with 3.94% moisture content, 8.40% ash content, 31.17% volatile matter, 56.49% carbon content and calorific value 14656.47 cal/g. By comparing the result data with SNI 01-6235-2000, it is found that the grades that meet the quality requirements are water content and calorific value.
