PENGARUH FENOMENA EL-NIÑO TERHADAP CURAH HUJAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG.
There are two climates that occur in Indonesia, namely dry season and dry season. One of the important factors in climate change is El-Nio and La-Niña. El-Niño is an ocean-atmosphere phenomenon that causes sea surface temperatures to rise even more. El-Niño is defined as the phenomenon of a positive difference between the observed sea surface temperature compared to its normal state in the equatorial Pacific Ocean region. This study aims to analyze the effect of the El-Niño phenomenon on rainfall in Palembang City with a span of 10 years (2011-2020). The data used in this study was obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Meteorology Station II Palembang City. Data processing in this study was carried out with the help of Microsoft Excel software program. The results of the analysis show that the climatological rainfall of Palembang City is 2599.4 mm/year. For 10 years (2011-2020) the El-Niño phenomenon occurred in 2015-2016 in July-December and in 2019 in January-May and December. In general, it can be said that the El-Niño phenomenon causes a lack of rainfall in Palembang City.
