KARAKTERISTIK IBU DENGAN PERSALINAN PRETERM DI BAGIAN OBSTETRI DAN GINEKOLOGI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 1 JANUARI - 31 DESEMBER 2010
Background: Preterm labor is delivery at 37 weeks gestation or less. Preterm labor is one of the most common cause of neonatal mortality around 60-70%, because it can cause various health problems in infants who later have an impact on infant mortality. At Indonesia in year 2006 recorded 3036 cases of preterm labor. The high incidence of preterm delivery both globally and in Indonesia and because there are no data on the characteristics of mothers with preterm delivery in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin it is necessary to do this research. Objective: To investigate the characteristics of mothers with preterm delivery in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Period 1 January to 31 December 2010. Methods: The study was descriptive survey by looking at secondary data from medical records at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Period 1 January to 31 December 2010 which was conductedfrom 12 to 19 November 2011. Result: found 290 cases (10.63%) preterm deliveries than 2727 deliveries in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Period 1 January to 31 December 2010. Characteristics of women with preterm labor based on sociodemographic most mothers aged 20-35 years at 76.2%. Mothers with preterm labor based on the highest mediko-obstetric is primigravida (40.2%), nullipara (41.3%), a distance of 0 month of pregnancy (first pregnancy) (39.7%), anemia (67.7%), good history of pregnancy (83.6%), antenatal care less than four times (78.8%), single fetus (96.8%>), no history of disease due to direct pregnancy (37%), no history of the disease is not Direct pregnancy (95.8%). Conclusion: The characteristics of mothers with preterm delivery in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period 1 January -31 December 2010, which is quite significant anemia and antenatal care less than four times. It is recommended for health workers at the Obstetrics and Gynecology in order to provide antenatal care and further improve communication, information and education to pregnant women who visited about preterm labor. To pregnant women who have delivered a preterm risk factors in order to perform antenatal care to the midwives and obstetricians regularly.
