Background : Diabetes Mellitus can cause several complications both acute and chronic. One of the compliactions is nephron damage which is called diabetic nephropathy. Blood glucose decreasement can occur on patients who went through hemodialysis. Diabetic drugs and the decrease of kidney excretion will cause an accumulation of drugs in the kidney that may have toxic effects, such as blood glucose decreasement. Objectives : to identify the level of blood glucose of diabetic nephropathy patients who went through hemodialysis in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Public Hospital Palembang Method : This research is a descriptive observational study. Data are obtained through questionnaire distribution and medical records from Hemodialysis Department in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Public Hospital Palembang. Results : There were 22 diabetic nephopathy patients who went through hemodialysis. Ten of them (45%) have a high blood glucose level and 12 (55%) have a normal blood glucose level. Conclusion : There are decreasement of blood glucose until normal blood glucose level but there are no hypoglycemic in diabetic nephropathy patients who went through hemodialysis in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Public Hospital Palembang.
