KONSTIPASI PADA ANAK SD YANG MENGKONSUMSl SUSU DI SD XAVERIUS 2 PALEMBANG
Introduction: Constipation is a common problem throughout the world. It occurs in about 0,3-28% children worldwide. The peak occurence of constipation is preschool and school entry age. This is important risk factor that increased incidence of constipation. Milk has a important role in constipation. Pamitic acid in the milk will form calcium soaps of fatty acids in the stool and were positively correlated with the hardness of stool. The aimed of this study is to determine the relationship between milk consumption with constipation incident at the primary school grade Method: This study was an observational analytic study with cross-sectional deisgn. It was conducted in September-December 2012. Samples were taken by random sampling method. Data derived from the primary data based on questionnaires and processed by SPSS with chi square method. Results: Subjects consisted of 45 male and 55 women. Children who have constipation as manay as 17 children (17%). There are 13 children who consume milk and constipation, 64 children who consume milk and not constipation, 4 chldren who don’t consume milk and constipation, and 19 children who don’t consume milk and not constipation. There was no relationship of milk consumption and constipation in children (p= 1,000). Conclusion: There was no association between milk consumption and constipation incident in primary school grade 1 at Xaverius 2 primary school.
