The aims of this study are (1) to describe what internal and external factors influence the development of the BRGM program, (2) to formulate a strategy for developing the BRGM program. This research was conducted in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The research location was chosen based on the consideration that Bangsal Village is one of the villages in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency which has the Peat and Mangrove Restoration Agency Program and has been provided with assistance by BRGM for the development of the peatland program. Sampling was based on the relevant stakeholders, namely the Ulak Kuto Mandiri group and experts in the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village. The Ulak Kuto Mandiri group has a big role and responsibility in advancing and developing ongoing programs in order to get maximum benefits. It takes administrators and group members who can manage the Ulak Kuto Mandiri group so that it can run optimally and reproduce new innovations for programs on peatlands which of course have great potential in business and economic development in Bangsal Village, as well as in efforts to conserve peatlands. With new innovations in the program, it can also help increase the income of the independent ulak kuto group. The next process is to expand the network outside the region so that the peat restoration agency program managed by the Ulak Kuto Mandiri group will be better known outside the region, develop rapidly, and its existence can improve the village economy. The assistance was used for the operational management of the Ulak Kuto Mandiri group, starting from the development of the swamp buffalo livestock program, solid and liquid fertilizers as well as maggot and fish cultivation. The strategy that will be applied to the independent Ulak Kuto group occupies quadrant I with the SO strategy, which means that the independent Ulak Kuto group can take advantage of all its strengths to seize opportunities. This shows that the results of the study are included in a very good situation. Strengths in the form of organizational structure and opportunities in the form of consumers.
