The aim of this research is to find out the 'best cropping pattem between gambir plant at young rubber crop. The research was conducted at experimental farm Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. Start ffom Desember 2010 to Juni 2011. The experiment was used Randomized Compieteiy Block Design with four treatments and three replications. The treatments were plant spacing 2,0 m x 2,0 m (Jl), plant spacing 2,0 m x 1,5 m (J2), plant spacing 1,5 m x 2,0 m (J3), and plant spacing 1,5 m x 1,5 m (J4). The experiment results showed that the growth of young rubber plant were not affected by gambir, as indicated parameters of were plant height, the number of leaves, diameters of canopy, and increase of girth gambir plant.
