UJI KINERJA PPOMPA AIR DC PADA RAKIT PIPA PVC (POLYVINYL CHLORIDE) YANG MENGGUNAKAN PANEL SURYA SEBAGAI SUMBER ENERGI.
The research to determine the performance of a DC water pump on a PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) pipe raft that uses solar panels as an energy source. This research was conducted from November 2021 to April 2022 at the Major of Agricultural Technology and Field Laboratory of the Major of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is using descriptive method. The workings of this research are raft making design, solar panel system design, raft operation, DC water pump testing and evaluation. The results showed that the 100 Wp solar panel was able to operate a DC water pump with the help of a battery. The highest maximum power occurred on the second day of 92,58 watts with an average sunlight intensity of 960,58 Watt/m2. The average efficiency of polycrystalline solar panel is 15,50%. The power requirement needed to turn on the pump is 24,88 Watt with an average energy of 6,22 Wh. The water discharge produced by the DC water pump takes 15 minutes with an average of 6,52 liters/minute. The battery is able to supply energy. The battery is able to supply energy to operate the DC water pump for 7 hours 42 minutes with the time needed to charge the battery for 6 hour 54 minute.
